Third Bomb Threat In A Week At Milwaukee Tools Plant

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — The Milwaukee Tools plant on Sycamore Avenue in Greenwood was evacuated for the third time in a week due to a bomb threat on Wednesday. Greenwood Police Chief Ray Moore had no further information to provide on yesterday’s incident. The plant had to be evacuated both Wednesday and Thursday of last week as well. Each time it took a little over an hour for Leflore County Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Fred Randle and the county’s bomb-sniffing dog to walk through the building checking for explosives. Police are not saying whether they believe it is the same caller. The Leflore County Sheriff’s Department brought a former employee of Milwaukee Tools in for questioning in the investigation last week, but Randle said that person is not considered a suspect.
