The Washington County Library System is planning to use a 5-thousand dollar grant to implement two early-literacy stations

Two computer stations at the William Alexander Percy Memorial Library and the Leland Public Library will be geared for children ages two to eight to help them learn math, social studies and other subjects. About 40-percent of public libraries across the country have specific early literacy stations. Officials said the stations are compatible with the new Common Core education standards.
