The state’s controversial Voter ID law due to go into effect in June faces another legal challenge

The Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus is asking the U.S. Attorney General to block the law from taking effect. Washington County has already begun issuing Voter ID cards on the assumption that they will be needed for June elections.
