Kroger has resumed printing ads for cigarettes in its weekly circulars. The decision has been sharply criticized by health professionals, who say the chain should not be promoting the availability of tobacco products. A Kroger spokesperson says the company is testing the waters with the ads because it does have customers who smoke. Kroger currently has one location left in Greenville, after shuttering the US 82 store last summer.
