The Greenville Public School District is looking to create a community coalition to help boost high school attendance rates

Attendance tends to be higher for elementary and middle schools, and then drop off in high school as parents lose control over older kids. The district is looking for faith groups, nonprofits, law enforcement and others to all get involved in a campaign to bolster high school attendance rates. School officials say a number of other problems will be solved by improving attendance.
