The Greenville Public School District is helping to restock the pantry shelves at the Salvation Army

The campaign isn’t even over, but the Greenville Schools have already hit their goal of collecting 75-hundred canned food items for the Salvation Army. The campaign, which is open to the public, is billed as the “Yes We Can” food drive. It aims to help The Salvation Army with meals it provides for the needy during this holiday season. Officials say the drive is particularly urgent this year, due to the food stamps cuts that went into effect in Mississippi this month.
