The family of a 9-year-old boy killed by a driver allegedly high on cocaine and marijuana on Mississippi 49 in 2007 is fighting for tougher DUI laws

They are launching a campaign for stricter sentences for DUI, after the man who killed Steven Tyler Patrick by driving under the influence at extremely high rates of speed was sentenced to 20 years probation. Timothy Gates reportedly had a DUI the week prior to the fatal accident.
