The Cleveland Board of Aldermen has honored the city’s volunteer firefighters who battled blazes in 2012

Brian Bishop and Ron McNeer shared the title of outstanding volunteer firefighters of the year. Scott Fuquay was honored for attending the most number of fires through the year. Matt Logan was given the Sharp Ax award, given to a firefighter who goes above and beyond in training. Brad Horton received a Past Chief’s Award, and Eric Kelly received a High Roller award for the most number of times driving a firetruck to a call. The aldermen also acknowledged the retirements of volunteer firefighters Lynn Hardin and Rhett Nelson.
