Dr. Alfred Rankins will serve as acting president of the school until the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning chooses an Interim President, who will serve until a permanent president is hired. Rankins is the associate commissioner for academic and student affairs for the Institutions of Higher Learning, and will return to that position full-time once the interim president is chosen. No timetable has been announced for the hiring of either the interim or permanent president for M-V-S-U.
