Tennessee murder suspects found in the Delta

Chicot Memorial

Greenville and Leland Police have arrested two suspects who were wanted in Hickory Hill, Tennessee for killing a popular church leader. Local police got word that the suspects might be headed to the Delta and located them on Wednesday. Greenville Police arrested 23-year-old Roger Reed, while Leland Police apprehended 24-year-old Lashonda Williams. They will be transported back to Tennessee to face charges in the death of 57-year-old Don Smith. The Baptist minister disappeared on Halloween night and was found shot to death the next day. Family and friends described him a kind-hearted man who was put in danger by his own kindness because he was too eager to help even people who should not be helped.
