Telemarketers Charged with Call Violations

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Mississippi Public Service Commission chairman Brandon Presley says the PSC has charged eight telemarketing companies with violations of Mississippi’s No-Call law. The PSC investigation found the companies are subject to over $1.6 million in fines for making 334 illegal calls. Mississippians can download the PSC’s No-Call smartphone app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Marketplace which allows citizens to immediately report calls to the PSC from their cell phones. Landline phones can be registered online at or by calling 800-637-7722.
