Tax-Free Bullets This Weekend In Mississippi

MISSISSIPPI (Ben Caxton) — This coming weekend is bigger than “Black Friday” one retailer told the Clarion Ledger. Todd Sarotte, manager of Van’s Sporting Goods in Brandon was discussing this weekend’s Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday with the newspaper. Now in its fourth year, rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers, scopes and mounts, most archery equipment, ammunition, and slings and gun cases will be exempt from the state’s 7% sales tax starting at 12:01 AM Friday through Midnight Sunday night.
