Surviving Persimmon Street Victims Released

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Greenville Police issued a statement yesterday on the condition of the two surviving Persimmon street shooting victims. Three people were shot on August 5th at a residence at 438 Persimmon Street in Greenville. Police found 48-year-old Samuel Hudson dead at the scene, and two other victims, a man and a woman nearby. The man, who was taken to UMMC in Jackson in critical condition, was released Monday. The woman suffered less severe wounds and was released from the hospital on August 8th. Neither has been named publicly. 24-year-old Hakeem Wilson has been charged in the shootings and is being held at the Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of a $1.2M bond.
