Strong police presence assisted by community members in making arrests

Police in Greenville tracked down at least one suspect wanted as a result of a drive-by shooting Saturday night. A 16 year old was taken into custody as police were working to round-up other individuals in connection with the incident. In the meantime, Greenville Police Chief Freddie Canon thanked members of the community for assisting investigators in their work which led to the arrest of a trio of suspected gunmen wanted in three separate fatal shootings last week. Investigators are now preparing those cases for trial, as each of the trio has been charged with murder in what officials said were the senseless killings of three young Greenville residents.
