State Treasurer Fitch Plans Run for Attorney General

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Mississippi Treasurer Lynn Fitch says she intends to run for state attorney general next year. Fitch, a Republican from Madison, passed the bar in 1985 and began her career as a special assistant attorney general. She is in her second term as treasurer; Republican state representative Mark Baker of Brandon has also expressed intent to run the office. Jim Hood is expected to run for governor in 2019 after serving four terms as state Attorney General.
