Songwriter George Jackson dies at 68

Songwriter George Jackson has died in Ridgeland. He was the co-author of “Old Time Rock and Roll” recorded by Bob Seger, as well as hundreds of other soul and rock tunes. Jackson was born in Indianola. He was 68 and had been battling cancer for about a year.
