Shelby’s alleged killer to remain in jail

Chicot Memorial

The young man accused of killing Shelby Harmon will remain in jail until a grand jury proceeding in the case.  A packed crowd turned out for the preliminary hearing this week on whether Shelton Fulgham should remain in custody. A judge found that there is probable cause to have him remain at the Bolivar County Correctional Facility. He is accused of running over his 20-year-old live-in girlfriend on October 20th, shortly after they had argued. Shelby’s death touched off a campaign for justice for the victims of domestic violence.
