Shaw native Herman Sanders is being inducted into the Southwestern Athletic Association Sports Hall of Fame in Birmingham, Alabama today. Sanders was a Track and Field standout at Mississippi Valley State University in the 1970′s. He’s the brother of Eugene Sanders, head football coach at Leland High School.
