School Tuition Going Up Across Mississippi

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — A higher education in the Magnolia State is going to require a higher income this fall. Under changes approved yesterday by the State College Board, tuition will rise by an average of 4% at nine public universities. Delta State in Cleveland will see the sharpest increase, 5.6%, to an average of $7,246 for the fall and spring semester. Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, along with the University of Mississippi Medical Center will see the smallest rate hikes at about 2%.
