Same-sex weddings in limbo.

Gay couples who’d like to get married this month may have to wait. After a judge struck down Mississippi’s ban on same-sex marriage, it was thought that gay couples might be able to get married legally in Mississippi in December. Now, oral arguments in the state’s appeal have been set for January 9th, so it’ll be at least mid-January before same-sex weddings can take place. The same three-judge panel hearing Mississippi’s appeal will also hear arguments from Louisiana and Texas.
