Rison Man Killed in Weekend Traffic Accident

CLEVELAND COUNTY, AR (Ben Caxton) — A Rison, Arkansas man has died after a weekend traffic accident. 19-year-old Justin Dakota Wright died shortly after 1:00 AM Sunday morning at a Little Rock hospital after the car he was driving left the road the road in Cleveland County. The state police report said Wright was traveling west on Arkansas 114 at 10 p.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate a curve and the Audi A-6 he was driving ran off the right shoulder of the highway. Wright over-corrected after leaving the highway and was never able to regain control. The vehicle skidded in a counter-clockwise motion along the roadside and struck a tree before overturning several times, ejecting Wright who was not wearing seatbelts. Wright was first transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff then air-lifted to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock where he later died from his injuries.
