Real Estate Investor moving ahead with building

Chicot Memorial

Greenville real estate investor Bobby Dadlani is moving ahead with the renovation of the Leyser building in Downtown Greenville, even after hearing from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History that that building is not eligible for historic status and the tax credits that come with such a designation. The 125-year-old building is at the corner of Washington Ave and Poplar Street and formerly housed a department store. The project was deemed ineligible for a tax credit that could have been worth up to 45-percent of the work’s cost because the renovation work began prior to the request for state certification.
