Racism Alleged at High School Softball Game

(Biloxi, MS)– During a softball game at St. Patrick, Ka’China Clemons witnessed racism remarks and a player from St. Patrick in the dugout wearing a monkey mask which she says symbolized racism. Clemons was at the softball game in support of her niece, where she claims St. Patricks players were calling them Philadelphia team and crowd apes, monkeys and the N-word. Catholic Diocese of Biloxi Superintendent, Dr. Mike Ladner believes there is no racism and claims the St. Patrick team calls its dugout “The Zoo”, and players wear many different mask at games with no intention to offend anyone but, Ka’china Clemons disagrees.
