Quinton Tellis Remains in Jail on Charges

MONROE, LA (Ben Caxton) — The man charged in the murder of Jessica Chambers will remain in custody after being granted an early release on a separate murder charge in Louisiana. Quinton Tellis has been in jail for using a stolen debit card after the 2015 stabbing death of a university student. Tellis only needed to serve 35 percent of his 10-year sentence and will be released February 18th but the Louisiana District Attorney will keep Tellis in custody on a warrant for the murder of Ming-Chen Hsiao. Tellis Mississippi trial on capital murder for the 2014 death of Jessica Chambers ended in a mistrial.
