Questions Raised As Arkansas Dems Face $80,000 Debt

LITTLE ROCK, AR (Ben Caxton) — Documents filed with the Federal Election Commission show the Arkansas Democratic Party nearly $80,000 in the red. Party Chairman Michael John Gray blamed the shortfall in Arkansas swinging from being a reliably blue state to overwhelmingly Republican. Allegations of financial reporting errors have surfaced recently amid questions about Gray’s leadership and pay raises to his chief of staff which will be addressed at a state party meeting this week.
