Quentin Tellis Now Indicted for 2015 Louisiana Murder

OUACHITA PARISH, LA (Ben Caxton) — Quentin Tellis, whose Mississippi murder trials in the death of Jessica Chambers in Panola County ended in two mistrials now faces murder charges in Louisiana. When Tellis was indicted by a grand jury in February 2016 in Chambers’ death he was sitting in a Lousiana jail cell on charges related to the stabbing death of Ming Chen Hsaio, of Taiwan. On Friday Tellis was indicted on one count of second-degree murder in the case. Police say Tellis stabbed Hsaio to death on her bedroom floor after torturing her for her debit card pin number on July 29, 2015. Her body was not found until August 8. After identifying Tellis with the woman in a WalMart video a search warrant of Tellis’ residence turned up a receipt for seven cents – paid with the woman’s debit card. Tellis has been tried twice in the 2014 burning death of Jessica Chambers and faces the prospect of a third trial in Mississippi in that case.
