Police Confiscate Baby, Heroin In Jackson Drug Bust

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Two women have been arrested after heroin was seized from their vehicle with a 3-month-old baby inside. 23-year-old Arlene Viridiana Moya and 23-year-old Trisha Lynne Ibarra were arrested Monday night after their SUV was stopped for a traffic violation near Jackson. They are charged with aggravated trafficking of heroin. 51 pounds of heroin was found in the car. Moya was driving and Ibarra, the vehicle owner, was a passenger and had her baby in the car. The baby was taken to child protective services and both women are being held at the Rankin County Jail without bond.
