Payroll Clerk Gets Run Of the Leflore County Courthouse

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — The only footsteps padding through the halls of the Leflore County Courthouse this week will be those of the county’s payroll clerk. Everyone else who works in the building is being sent home after one employee who has been in self-quarantine since March 15 tested positive for the Wuhan COVID-19 flu. That means the doors will be locked to the public. When the north entrance reopens on Monday there will be a five-visitor limit to the building, with temperatures being taken of everyone attempting to enter.
