Oxford Olympian Named Track And Field’s Best

OXFORD, MS (Ben Caxton) — Oxford native and Olympian Sam Kendricks has been named the top male athlete in track and field. Kendricks had a perfect pole-vaulting season, winning 17 competitions in 15 months across the world. He will receive the Jesse Owens Athlete of the Year award on Saturday. Kendricks won a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
