Former Greenville Officer Cedric Sorrell is due in a federal courtroom where he may make a plea deal to avoid a trial. He’s accused of conspiring with two other officers to rough up a man and steal money from him during a routine traffic stop on May 3rd. Last week, Bryant Maurice Kennedy accepted a plea deal in the case. He was accused of taking approximately 13-hundred dollars from the man’s wallet and paying Sorrell and Officer Samuel McVay 100 dollars each from the stolen cash. McVay’s court appearance is set for February 11th. 58
