One New Case of West Nile Virus Has Been Confirmed


(Mississippi)—The Mississippi State Department of Health reports one new human case of West Nile Virus bringing the 2016 state total to 15. The case has been reported in Copiah County. So far this year cases have been reported from Chickasaw, 2 in Copiah, 4 in Hinds, Grenada, 2 in Lamar, Lowndes, Leflore, Perry and Rankin Counties.
