One Dead & Three Injured in Drew County Accident

DREW COUNTY, AR (Ben Caxton) — A 3-vehicle accident in Drew County claimed the life of a Star-City man and sent two others to the hospital. The crash occurred around 5:15 PM Thursday on Highway 83, two miles north of Rose Hill Cutoff. According to the Arkansas State Police, a southbound Dodge Caravan driven by 57-year-old Teresa Walton of Pine Bluff crossed the center line on Highway 83 and struck a northbound pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Cody Brockman of Star City head-on. Reports say Brockman’s truck flipped onto the concrete bridge rail before coming to a stop on the metal railing end of the bridge. The Caravan continued on and struck a Dodge Ram that had been behind Brockman’s truck. Brockman was killed instantly in the collision. Walton and a passenger, 25-year-old Chenzy Miller of Monticello were injured and transported to local hospitals.
