GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — After all the community discussions and special council meetings on the subject, the violence continues in Greenville. In two separate shootings on Wednesday, one man is dead, and another in the hospital is now in stable condition. This just days after an argument in Greenville left a Lake Village man shot dead. Just after 10:00 PM, police were called to the 400 block of 2nd Street where they found a 25-year-old black male, shot inside his vehicle. The Washington County coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Earlier in the day around 2:45 PM another teenager was shot in the 300 block of Eureka Street. The unnamed 18-year-old victim was transported to the Delta Regional Medical Center by personal vehicle. Investigators say the shooting may stem from an earlier incident between the suspect and the victim. The victim was flown to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. The Greenville Police Department has issued a warrant for the arrest of Jamarcus Strong for the charge of Attempted Murder in the case. Strong is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
