Ole Miss Basketball Coach To Step Down

Chicot Memorial

OXFORD, MS (Ben Caxton) — Andy Kennedy will step down as the head basketball coach at Ole Miss at the end of the season. With two NCAA tournament appearances, an SEC championship and 11 winning seasons out of 12, Kennedy is the winningest coach in Rebel history. In May the university opted not to extend Kennedy’s contract, which still has three seasons left. Ole Miss has consistently ranked in the bottom half of SEC basketball attendance despite last year’s opening of a new $96 million, 9500 seat arena.
