Officials Vote Themselves An Extra Holi-Day In Greenville

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — With the Independence Day Holiday falling on a Tuesday this year, a long weekend was inevitable. And the Greenville City Council made it official. They’ve declared Monday, July 3rd, as an official city holiday this year. That means most city offices will be closed on Monday, as well as on the 4th of July Tuesday, and most employees will be able to enjoy an extra long four day weekend.
