October 28: The Week In Review

THE DELTA (Ben Caxton) — If you weren’t listening to Delta Radio this week, here’s what you might have missed. The new West Bolivar Superintendent is in hot water with the state auditor, and a Greenville not-for-profit and Blues Festival Organizer has had its charter revoked. Former Ole Miss basketball star Justin Reed passed away from cancer at age 35. In Vicksburg police have been busy arresting suspects in a weapons heist. A Warren County woman was charged with murder in a stabbing death, while a Tunica woman was sentenced to 30 years in a 2013 stabbing death of her neighbor. Greenwood’s Mayor is off the hook for paying legal fees in an election case. A former Bolivar County Deputy has been indicted on federal charges for planting evidence, Coahoma County officials went to Washington looking for money, a suspect was arrested in a Monticello bank holdup, and Alex Deaton is returning to Mississippi for trial. All this and much more this week from Delta radio and deltadailynews.com.
