North Boliver Scores $700,000 in Grant Money

MOUND BAYOU, MS (Ben Caxton) — Financially strapped North Bolivar Consolidated School District will be getting some help. The District has been awarded a three-year grant totaling almost three-quarters of a million dollars. “Save the Children International” will give the district $250,000 in the first and second years of the grants, and $200,000 in the final year as part of its “21st-century community learning center” project which is aimed at helping low-income communities. The money will be spent on students at Brooks Elementary and I.T. Montgomery Elementary.
