No Hanging Chads As Students Learn To Vote

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Last Friday students at one Delta high school received a real-life lesson in the mechanics of voting when Riverside High School south of Greenville used Washington County’s electronic machines for student elections. Seventh through 12th grade students cast ballots for class representatives and homecoming maids using machines in the high school gymnasium; it was the first time the school has held student council elections in recent years and teachers say it was the perfect opportunity to teach students the importance of voting.
