No Donuts For MHP Candidates For 4 Months

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — New applicants to the Mississippi Highway Patrol may have to forgo the donuts for awhile. things are about to get serious. Capt. Johnny Polous says the corps is beginning the vetting process for all the applications they’ve received, which will include physical fitness tests over the next 4-1/2 months. Those who pass the physical tests and vetting process will move on to join the Academy which will begin classes this October, followed by graduation of a new class of highway patrol officers next March.
