New West Bolivar Superintendent In Trouble With State Auditor

ROSEDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Mississippi’s state auditor is demanding that Beverly Culley, now superintendent of the West Bolivar school district, repay nearly $70,000. State Auditor Stacey Pickering says Culley overpaid herself without authorization in 2014 as superintendent of the Benoit school district, which has since merged with West Bolivar. If she doesn’t pay within 30 days, Pickering could sue her in civil court although no criminal charges are currently pending.
