Chicot Memorial

CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — At Monday’s meeting, Clarksdale’s mayor and commissioners heard a presentation form Vince Malavasi of Neel Schaffer consultants, detailing a three-phase infrastructure improvement plan for the city. Phase 1, which will cost less than $1 million, calls for the replacement of traffic signals at the intersections of State Street and Desoto, Madison and Sunflower Avenues. Later phases will improve drainage in flood areas of the city, and the city will hold a town hall meeting at 5:30 PM on March 22nd at the Civic Auditorium for public comment and input.
