New Med Schools Aim to Cure Arksansas’ Doctor Shortage


(Little Rock, MS)- Arkansas has tripled the number of medical schools in the state as part of its efforts to reduce a chronic shortage of doctors, particularly in rural areas. Public health officials say poor access to health care has left Arkansas ranked as one of the unhealthiest states in the country.
