New Firearms Discharge Rules In Warren County

VICKSBURG, MS (Ben Caxton) — If you’re in Warren County, and not on your own acreage, hands off that rifle – don’t shoot. Or you could be fined and spend some time in jail. The Warren County Board of Supervisors Monday voted unanimously to pass a new ordinance that makes it punishable by a fine up to $1,000, and/or 10 days in jail, for someone to discharge a firearm within a platted subdivision in “a manner reasonably expected to cause any projectile from such firearm or weapon to travel across any property line without the permission of the property owner.” The ordinance went into effect immediately upon passage by the supervisors.
