New Blues Trail Marker Honors Buddy Guy

LETTSWORTH, LA (Ben Caxton) — The latest marker on Mississippi’s Blues Trail honors Louisiana native Buddy Guy. Guy moved to Chicago in 1957 where he learned from Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, and Sonny Boy Williamson II and often toured with BB King. Guy is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is the recipient of seven Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a National Medal of Arts and a Kennedy Center, Honor. The 201st Blues Trail marker is located at Guy’s birthplace in Lettsworth, Louisiana.
