Nebraska Arrests Man Wanted for Clarksdale Murder

LINCOLN, NE (Ben Caxton) — A Clarksdale man wanted for a 2016 murder has been arrested 700 miles away in Nebraska. Authorities there took an interest in Stephon Clay after he was spotted acting suspiciously near a federal courthouse in Lincoln. Upon contacting police in Mississippi they discovered he was wanted in connection to a deadly shooting three years ago in Clarksdale. Clay was taken into custody by federal marshals, city and county police. He is suspected in the March 19, 2016, shooting death of 22-year-old Steven Harris. Another person was also injured in that shooting in the 600 block of Garfield Street.
