National historic preservation discussion learns about efforts made here in the Delta

It was the conference that launched a celebration of the National Historic Preservation Act’s 50th anniversary. Doctor Rolando Hertz who serves as both director of the Delta Center for Culture and Learning and the Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area was recently invited. He represented both organizations in a panel discussion at the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Conference in Washington, D.C. The Learning Lab was said to be informative and inspiring while attracting hundreds of historic preservation scholars, policymakers, experts and activists from around the nation. A highlight was Dr. Herts telling the story of the Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area and the important work of The Delta Center and partners.
