Museum without walls arrives in Bolivar County

The Mississippi Blues Trail museum without walls arrives in Cleveland today to unveil a marker at the Bolivar County Courthouse. The marker celebrates W.C. Handy’s account of his enlightenment in Cleveland in 1903, which is one of the most widely circulated stories in blues history. The marker unveiling is set for 2pm today and will be filmed for a documentary about W.C. Handy, who was known as “The Father of Blues.” He died in 1958 at the age of 84.
