MSU Still Investigating Wednesday’s Bomb Threat

STARKVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Mississippi State is still investigating an incident that disrupted classes across the campus this week. On Wednesday a bomb threat forced officials to evacuate students and faculty from the Mitchell Memorial Library and nearby buildings. The entire area was searched by police, who were on the scene within two minutes of receiving the threat by phone call just after 3:30 p.m. Bomb-sensing dogs also were dispatched immediately, and nothing suspicious was found. MSU returned to normal operations Thursday evening while campus police are continuing to investigate.
