Motions Filed in Nba Murder Case

MEMPHIS, TN (Ben Caxton) — Attorneys for Sherra Wright and Billy Turner, accused of killing former Memphis Grizzlies star Lorenzen Wright, filed a number of motions Friday morning including motions to suppress wiretapped communications and to change the venue or bring jurors in from another county. Wright’s attorney has asked that jurors be brought from the Nashville area while Turner’s attorney wants to suppress any cell phone data and independently test firearms presented as evidence. Turner and Sherra Wright, Lorenzen’s ex-wife, are both charged with Lorenzen’s 2010 murder. Trial is scheduled for September and the judge will rule by May 28 on the latest motions.
