More Room To Paint The Big Metal Birds In Grenada

GRENADA, MS (Ben Caxton) — An aircraft painting and maintenance firm is expanding. On Tuesday Sunshine Aviation completed a new million-dollar hangar that is owned by the city of Grenada that the company will use. Sunshine invested $50,000 of its own money while the city and Mississippi Development Authority each invested $150,000. The MDA also loaned $192,000 and the Mississippi Department of Transportation $450,000. The company, which moved from Tennessee to Grenada in 2013, now has three workers but plans to hire another dozen. Sunshine’s owner says the new facility will allow the company to paint larger private aircraft.
